Halloween Craft - Milk Jug Skeleton!

Happy Halloween Everyone!  I thought I would put this post up again this year to give everyone a fun and easy halloween craft idea.

It is our tradition to save our milk jugs come October, and make one of these fun and spooky friends just in time for Halloween.  Here's how...

You will need:

- 4 1 gallon milk jugs (rinsed)
-a hole punch
-a sharp pair of scissors
-a black permanent marker
-a hot glue gun
-yarn or string

And of course it always helps to have helpers!

Cut 2 handles off the milk jugs and hot glue them onto one of your milk jugs right side up.  These will act as your skeleton's shoulders.

Now turn another milk jug upside down and glue the two jugs together.  Cut spouts off remaining two jugs and glue them together.  Cut a third milk jug carefully to form your hips.  Do so carefully, reserving as much of the jug as possible to cut arms and legs later on.

Glue spouts (lower spine) onto hip section.

Attach to body.

You will need ALL your remaining milk jug scraps to cut out 8 long arm and leg bones, as well as 2 hands and 2 feet.  Be sure to conserve space, so that you have room to cut all your pieces.  It'll be a little tight, but do-able.

Punch holes at all necessary joints.

Add details with your marker.  You can also cut your details out rather than draw them, but I find the marker quicker and easier, and it shows up a little better anyway.

Cut 12 pieces of yarn, string, or whatever else you may have on hand, and tie all joints together.

Attach arms and legs to body.

Poke a hole in the top and hang as desired!

Hope you enjoy this fast and fun little halloween craft!
