Super Helper!

Well, today I took a break from knitting, and spent more time as a mother.  It was wonderful.  Tomorrow my son has a carnival at his school, and he's allowed to wear a costume.  I think it's supposed to be more like a masquerade costume, but hey, if my boy wants to be Superman, who am I to stop him?

We spent the day making him this costume, which I predict he will want to wear everyday for a long time to come.  He's been "flying" everywhere today, and especially off the furniture, but isn't that what being a mother is all about.....special moments.  Anyway, this costume didn't cost me a dime.  We found pieces of this and that around the house, and it turned out not too shabby.  The very best part of the day though, was around 4 o'clock when he came up to me and said, "Mom, when is it going to be supper time.  Can you tell me when you're going to start making it, because Superman is a Super Helper".

Awwww.....can't help but love em'!
