This is Groundhog Gary! With Groundhog Day just around the corner, he’s ready to let us know if spring is on it’s way! This is a fun little project, and quick to work up. Gary is the perfect project for the intermediate crocheter, or an adventurous beginner.
This pattern includes extensive written instructions, as well as several photos to help you out along the way. Techniques involved are sc, hdc, simple increases and decreases, and popcorn stitch (all of which are expounded on in the abbreviation chart at the beginning of the pattern). Gary is worked from the top down, in the round. Gary’s tail is not felted, but simply brushed with a wire pet brush, so don’t be intimidated by the appearance, or the fact that I have a lot of felting patterns. This isn’t one of them!
